A WALLACE and Gromit coin has been unveiled to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the animated double-act first hitting the screen. The Royal Mint on Tuesday launched the new 50 pence piece. Wallace & Gromit are one of the UK's most popular animated duo, so it only seems right that there is now a 50p with their design on it! However, The Royal Mint has revealed that the new design, to celebrate 30 years of the pair, will not be in general circulation.
The Royal Proclamation on the 11th October 2019 revealed that the new coin will be a 50p – the UK’s most collected coin!
